Etna is a wonderful dog! Of course, you usually think so when it’s your own dog, but actually, she is really something. When I had made up my mind to go study in Kristianstad (as it happens, I went to Uppsala for a spell as well) the opportunity to buy a Groenendael. That’s when my quest for a good dog began, it wasn’t easy, but she was out there.

I had set some pretty high standards for my new dog and I knew what I wanted. At last I came into contact with Inger Andersson, who is running the Spader Ess Kennel in Åmål. It’s a small breeding station that breeds with care. Inger’s dogs are a very social bunch, has a great interest in objects, a great inner drive and they still look like a Groenendael. I optioned for Etna even before she was born. On the night when the puppies were born, Inger called me bursting out "Your puppy is born!". Already we knew which one was Etna, she came to me like a bat out of hell and during all the weeks with her mother she was the coolest.

Etna is a dog who loves people, big and small. Whenever she gets to come with me to work and play with 22 children, she is in heaven. Just imagine, 22 kids who want to run around all the time and who never get tired of playing!

She is always on the go when it comes to practicing. We do a bit of working training, but since we compete in agility and obedience there really aren’t any weekends left for competing in that as well.

Etna is a lovely dog and we have travel around Europe together. She is Swedish Agility Champion and had qualified to Fmbb (World championship for Belgian Shepherds) 6 years in road. We won the Swedish Championship for Belgian Shepherds 2007 and took the second place in 2009.
